Born and raised in the heart of Alabama, I bring a unique blend of experiences to my role as a Partner at CHAVEZ FORBES Personal Injury Law Firm.
With a solid foundation in forensic investigation from Jacksonville State University, I earned my Police Officer Certification in Law Enforcement at the Alabama Law Enforcement Academy in July 1999.
For over 16 years, I dedicated myself to various roles in law enforcement, from serving as an officer to holding the position of Chief of Police. This journey wasn't just a job—it was a commitment to public service, instilling in me a deep understanding of the importance of justice in our communities.
In July 2007, I took a pivotal step in my professional growth by completing the FBI National Academy in Quantico, VA. This experience broadened my perspective on law enforcement and justice, setting the stage for a significant career shift. In November 2017, I earned a Juris Doctorate from the Birmingham School of Law, marking a transition to the legal field.
My dedication to justice led me to the Jefferson County Public Defender's Office in Birmingham, AL, where I served as a Trial Attorney until January 2022. Navigating the complexities and challenges within the legal system, I honed my skills to better advocate for those in need.
Driven by a passion for justice, I strategically resigned from my public defender position in January 2022 to pursue a lifelong dream. This decision led to the founding of CHAVEZ FORBES Personal Injury Law Firm in 2023, where I currently serve as a Partner. My diverse background uniquely positions me to provide dedicated representation, applying extensive legal and law enforcement expertise to serve our clients.
